Socal Jeeps

Jeep Cherokee XJ

Although the Jeep Cherokee XJ was discontinued in 2001 and replaced by the Jeep Liberty KJ it remains an iconic piece of American culture.  You still see these Jeeps on the road, off the road and even in car shows.  Why does this particular make and model have so much popularity?  The reasons are myriad.

When it was first introduced in 1984 it was one of the very first SUVs on the market.  It was known as the Jeep Wagoneer until it became the Cherokee XJ in 1990.  It quickly became one of the most popular vehicles in the American market.  At the same time it was being produced in Beijing.  The vehicle then began being produced also in Venezuela in 1987, Egypt in 1992 and in Argentina in 1996.

So what does that little backstory have to do with anything?  I put that in there to show you that the vehicle was not just popular here.  It made a statement in many countries throughout the entire world.  It has been used for mail delivery and as police vehicles too.

This particular vehicle was the model for today’s SUVs.  It has been hailed as the first true crossover and was started as a two door model that eventually became a 4 door model.  It has never lost its popularity and even though the vehicle itself is no longer in production they do still make parts for it.

Parts

When you are looking for parts for this particular vehicle you can find them in many places.  If you want used parts and you don’t mind working for them you can always go to your local salvage yard if there is one in your area.  If this is not your cup of tea, you can find parts at your local parts house.  If this is also not an option for you then you will definitely be able to find whatever you are looking for with a quick and easy search on the internet.  Every single one of the parts that you will ever need for this vehicle can be found online and shipped right to your door.

You will want to keep this vehicle in great shape as there will never be any more of them made.  What you have is a treasure and it should be treated as such.  This vehicle is already a classic and will grow in value if you keep it in good condition.
